Fred L. Dorr is the managing shareholder of Wasker, Dorr, Wimmer & Marcouiller, P.C. He heads the litigation and public utility law sections of the firm. In that capacity he brings more than 35 years of experience to clients engaged in all phases of litigation and public utility transactions.
Background Information
Fred was born in Marcus, Cherokee County, Iowa on November 30, 1947. He graduated from the Marcus Community School District in 1966 and received an undergraduate B.S. degree from Northwestern University in 1970. He earned his J.D. degree in 1975 from Drake University Law School. While at Drake, Fred became a member of the Order of the Barristers, was on the National Moot Court Team, and authored a case note for the Drake Law Review (24 Drake Law Review 704, 1975).
After completing his undergraduate work in Evanston, Illinois, Fred entered the United States Navy as a Supply Corps Officer where he served for three years. His principal duty station was aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Independence, operating out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Personal Activities/Interests Fred and his wife Linda have three daughters, Kelly, Kristin and Elizabeth. Their family is active in school, church, and community activities in Des Moines and its western suburbs. In addition, Fred has been active in statewide political campaigns, community volunteer activities and local charity events.
