Mr. Laird is a retired consultant to the Firm on matters relating to alcoholic beverages and the Iowa deposit law.
Mr. Laird graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1952. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a J.D. degree. He is a member of the Bar in both Nebraska and Iowa.
Rusty represented the Iowa Wholesale Beer Distributors Association as administrative officer, legal counsel, and lobbyist beginning August 1, 1953, until the office reorganized.
Mr. Laird represented the Iowa Licenses Beverage Association until its merger with the Iowa Restaurant Association. He either initiated or directly supported all positive legislation passed since July 5, 1963, as listed on pages 38-41 of the 1994 Iowa Beer Industry Directory, including passage of the "cash law."
