JHalley M. Ryherd joined Wasker, Dorr, Wimmer & Marcoullier, P.C. as an associate attorney in 2021. Her practice primarily consists of real estate transactions. She enjoys closings with first-time homebuyers, and coordinating transactions for for-sale-by-owner clients.
JaHalley was born in northwest Iowa, and grew up in Altoona, graduating from Southeast Polk High School. She graduated cum laude from Iowa State University, earning Bachelors of Arts degrees in French and History. Halley also graduated from Drake University Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in May of 2014. While at Drake she received the ABA Silver Key Award for service to the 7th Circuit Student Bar Association, the President’s Student Service Award in 2013 for contributions to the Drake Law School Student Bar Association, and graduated Order of the Barristers for distinguished participation in Moot Court Board and advocacy teams. Her past real estate practice has included representing both lenders and borrowers in foreclosure actions, and she has extensive experience resolving complicated title issues.
